Leah Remini

Leah Marie Remini is an American actress and activist. She made her acting debut in 1984, appearing in several episodes of the TV show Who's the Boss?, which led to a more prominent part in a spin-off series entitled Living Dolls in 1989She featured in several TV shows in the following years, including small parts on Cheers and Saved By the Bell, as well as larger parts on short-lived shows like First Time Out and Fired Up. Remini got her big break in 1998, landing the role of Carrie Heffernan on the CBS sitcom The King of Queens, which ran until 2007. She then starred in the CBS sitcom Kevin Can Wait from 2017 to 2018. Her movie roles include Old School (2003), Handsome (2017) and Second Act (2018) which she starred in alongside her longtime-best friend Jennifer Lopez. Remini has become a major voice of the anti-Scientology movement, leaving the church in 2013 after being raised in the practice since childhood. In 2014, she released her number one New York Times bestselling memoir Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology. She also co-produced and hosted the documentary series Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath, for which she earned an Emmy award. She also co-hosts the podcast Scientology: Fair Game.  She has been married to Angelo Pagán since 2003, and the pair have one child together.
